A selective four-semester course, including one semester of mobility at Bayreuth university
The aim of this programme of excellence is to offer a multidisciplinary approach (sociology, geography, anthropology and political science) to the training of development economics students intending to manage development and emergency projects.
After having successfully completed the Programme, students will be awarded the two following degrees:
Les enseignements des semestres 1, 3 et 4 sont donnés en français à l’exception de quelques cours présentés en anglais ; tous les enseignements du semestre 2 (semestre de mobilité) sont donnés en anglais.
Au semestre 4, les étudiants rédigent un mémoire de recherche sous la responsabilité des enseignants de l’Université de Bordeaux et le soutiennent devant un jury mixte composé d’enseignants des deux Universités partenaires.

PROCEDURES AND APPLICATION DATES
In order to take part in the Programme, students must have graduated with a Licence or an equivalent (180 ECTS) and fulfill the general conditions for admission to the « Master mention Économie du Développement » through « Mon Master » portal.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The steering commitee will select students on the basis of the following criteria:
RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS
UBT international relations department, jointly with UBX’s, provide the students that it receives in the context of the Programme with:
UBT provide the same services to students on the Programme as to their other students. The Parties will not finance students’ visas, health insurance, or accommodation or language lessons (except any that may be included in the Programme syllabus).
Each party is responsible for informing its students of the possibility of scholarships and grants applicable to the Programme.
Students must respect the laws and customs of the country and the policies and rules of the establishment where they are studying.
INSURANCE
Students must adhere to the rules in force in the host establishment:
For UBx:
All students taking part in the Programme must be able to produce a certificate of insurance covering repatriation and civil liability (for a private individual) valid for the whole period of their stay in the host establishment.
COST OF THE PROGRAMME
Students are responsible for financing the exchange, whether or not they are eligible for a study allowance from their home establishment.
Students are responsible for all the costs related to their exchange, in particular:
GENERAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Students will pay for their registration and tuition fees exclusively at their home university. They will also be registered free of charge in the host institution and will have the official status of students for the duration of their mobility in the host university.
Students must pay any specific fees required by the host establishment:
At UBT, students must pay the Semesterbeitrag (semester fee), consisting of the Studentenwerksbeitrag (student union fee) and the Beitrag zum Semesterticket (semester ticket fee). On an indicative basis, the amount is 137,97 € for the summer semester 2023.
The Parties have no obligation to reimburse fees paid for the second semester to students who withdraw from the Programme after the first semester or second year.
