Partnership Overview

In December 2025, the Faculty of Economics, Management, Economic and Social Administration joined ADEPT, a network of universities committed to training the next generation of students in rigorous policy design, evaluation, and analysis. As an ADEPT pathway university, the Faculty of Economics, Management, Economic and Social Administration​​​​​​​ recognizes the DEDP MicroMasters credential for advanced standing in its Master’s in Development Economics.

Admitted students receive academic credit worth 30 ECTS for having successfully completed the DEDP MicroMasters credential, waiving the entire first semester of the two-year program and reducing both time on campus and associated costs.

What is the DEDP MicroMasters ?

MIT’s Department of Economics and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) designed the MicroMasters program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) to equip learners with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge to address pressing global challenges. Taught by esteemed Economics faculty at MIT, including the program’s faculty directors Esther Duflo, Abhijit Banerjee, Sara Fisher Ellison, and Benjamin Olken, the program offers graduate-level courses that combine the modern tools of economics and policy design with a strong foundation in economic and mathematical principles.

How to apply ?

Applications via the DEDP MicroMasters pathway fall outside the standard admissions channels (on MonMaster or eCandidat). In order to apply, applicants must therefore send a complete application file (available for download in word or pdf) to Quentin Stoeffler (quentin.stoeffler@u-bordeaux.fr).

Is completing the full DEDP program required?

For Faculty of Economics, Management, Economic and Social Administration to grant credit for DEDP coursework, applicants must have completed the entire credential (5 courses). However, isolated coursework may still be a valuable signal to the admissions committee and can strengthen your application.
